NorthStar Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

So far we are impressed with the professionalism and the correctness of the NorthStar plumbing! We hired them to do a plumbing re-fit in a bathroom remodel and they were very direct and honest upfront with their quote and understanding of the problems at hand. We intend to keep working with NorthStar Plumbing into the future!

A plus service! Staff are very accommodating, knowledgeable and do very professional work. They explain things well for the layman and assist you in choosing the right product that you like. I highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing issues/needs.

Hired them to replace ancient shower valves that had wheels as handles. They installed two ball valves with long handles. I didn’t immediately notice what was wrong but a week later realized that the new shower wall could not be installed. When I sent photos I would have respected a “Holy cow, we screwed that up. We will fix that right away.” Instead they argued it wasn’t a big deal and that the valves are always open inside the wall anyway. I guess the tiler stands in the rain to install backer board and tile and I’m pretty sure it’s code to have operational valves! I insisted on valves that open and close even with a wall installed. They did send a guy out who installed new valves rotated 90 degrees. He even said they wouldn’t charge me since it wasn’t a big deal and they didn’t want to get into a dispute over the charges. It had not even occurred to me that they’d want to CHARGE me to fix their mistake! They had been scheduled to install the new shower base but no longer. Very disappointed in their work and their response.

NorthStar Plumbing/Jeramiah replaced my old non working sump pump and battery backup. As always, the job was done efficiently, promptly, explained thoughtfully and the site is left clean. My house is nearly 100 years old, so it helps when you choose a service that truly knows their business. It brings me great piece of mind to have NorthStar in my contacts. Thank you NorthStar!!

I had some issues with sinks draining very slowly. I called up NorthStar and they got me in the same day, even in the first half of the day. John.T and Kamrenn showed up and were the nicest guys you could ever meet. They wore shoe covers. They laid down tarp to protect the floors. They cleaned up anything afterwards, but weren’t messy in the slightest. They also explained everything and diagnosed the issue perfectly. A new garbage disposal was installed and two drains cleaned. You don’t get this kind of service from many companies anymore and it is greatly appreciated. I wouldn’t want to lose these two as my employees. Nothing but great service.

PLEASE DON’T USE any Northstar services because they are sucked. Here is my story. I called Northstar to unclog my sink in the bathroom in my upper apartment. Northstar did come and did unclog my drainage line; however, a few days later I noticed that every time the fixed sink was turned on, a lot of water came out of the ceiling onto my lower apartment damaged my lower level ceiling. It never happened like that before so I called Northstar right away to have them looking into it. Northstar did admit that they damaged and made a hole as a result of their augering to clean out the clogged; however, they refused to fix their mistakes if I did not pay them a lot of money for fixing them. I did talk to one of the owners of the company too about this issue but they are all means to me. I took care of the issue myself instead of having them do any kinds of work for me again. I wish I could upload my video showing how the water was pouring out into my lower apartment ceiling so that everyone has good visual images but I could not see that option on Google reviews.

North Star was quick to help us, cleaned up afterward. I would recommend this business. D. Radke
